Hamilton Spectator Article : Jeff Joslin’s UFC fight history is in the card

Every kid whose ever played sports has wanted to see themselves on a trading card. Just like all their hockey, baseball and football heroes. Heck, even fictional players from “The Sandlot” and “Major League” had theirs once upon a time. It’s the dream.

Suddenly Jeff Joslin was holding his.

“It was amazing,” the Hamilton mixed martial artist and coach says. “It was so cool.”

It was a Topps card. One from a collection that was given to the marines the night he fought on the co-main event of a UFC card at an American military base back in 2006. You can have your Mickey Mantle or Wayne Gretzky rookie card. He’ll take this one.

But he admits he was a little puzzled.
