Some great training went down this weekend at Joslin’s Mixed Martial Arts in Hamilton.
To start the day the kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class took to the mats for some mount escape practice followed by many rounds of sparring. It’s always great to see them putting in work on the mats.
After that, close to 20 pro and amateur mixed martial artists battled through many tough rounds in the gym. With many of those fighters having fights coming up in November everyone was looking sharp with their strikes, takedowns and ground work. There were no easy rounds for anyone that’s for sure.
An hour or so later, when the MMA guys were done sparring, a huge crew of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu students hit the mats for some great rolling and technique practice. The group worked on buttefly guard passes, crucifix choke attacks and some 1-legged x-guard sweeps as well.
Everyone’s looking forward to a great week of training this week!
