Hey Ladies, we invite you to come on out and learn the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: A fun, addictive martial art that is one of the best forms of self-defense.
On Saturday, Sept. 29th, 2018 we’re holding an “Intro to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu” Free of charge for all women in our community. You can expect a fun experience in a safe training atmosphere. We have many ladies currently training with us at Joslin’s and they will be on hand to help you learn quickly and enjoy yourself throughout the beginner level seminar.
Q – What will I learn?
You will learn simple and effective ways of dealing with attacks that are common in realistic situations. The techniques you’ll learn do not require strength, speed or athleticism. They are based solely on leverage.
Q – What should I wear? Do I need to bring anything with me?
Feel free to wear comfortable workout clothes (ie. shorts, yoga pants, t-shirt, tank top etc.). That is all you need for the seminar.
Q – Will the seminar be very physical or rough?
No, the seminar will be technique based with no sparring. You will pair up and practice techniques with your partner is a slow and safe manner. Participants of all ages will feel comfortable and capable while training during the seminar.
Q – Is any martial arts experience or a certain fitness level required to attend?
This seminar is suitable for Women of all ages and fitness levels. No martial arts experience necessary.
